UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our team as a Traveler for weekend night shifts. As part of UCHealth, a leading Colorado-based nonprofit health care system, you will have the opportunity to work across multiple hospitals and outpatient facilities, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. This role involves operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners to create diagnostic images meticulously and compassionately, aiding in the treatment and diagnosis of patients. Operate MRI equipment to produce images according to physician orders and in accordance with established practices and procedures. Monitor patient safety and comfort, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines during imaging processes. Adjust scanning techniques to improve image quality and reduce patient exposure to radiation. Maintain accurate patient records and radiologic logs, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information. Collaborate with radiologists and other medical staff to determine diagnostic procedures and interpretation of images. Provide patient education regarding the MRI process, addressing any concerns or questions. Proficiency in operating and maintaining MRI equipment. Strong understanding of radiological safety and protection principles. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to MRI hardware and software. Capable of maintaining detailed patient records and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
