Job Description:
UCHealth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Charge Nurse
to lead our Surgical Progressive Care Unit at our innovative
Colorado-based, nonprofit healthcare system. This role is pivotal
in providing top-tier patient care and ensuring our values of

will have a profound commitment to enhancing patient outcomes,
boosting staff performance, and maintaining the highest standards
of care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Supervise nursing
staff and manage the daily operations of the Surgical Progressive
Care Unit. Develop and implement policies and procedures that
ensure quality of care and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Monitor patient care for quality and adherence to standards and
regulations. Educate and mentor nursing staff on the latest
healthcare innovations and practices. Collaborate with
multidisciplinary healthcare teams to facilitate comprehensive
patient care. Coordinate with healthcare providers to review
treatment plans and adjust as necessary. Handle administrative
duties such as maintaining records, scheduling, and staff
evaluations. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in healthcare
management systems and patient care software Capable of critical
thinking and swift decision-making under pressure In-depth
knowledge of surgical procedures, aseptic techniques, and
post-surgical care Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
valid in the state of Colorado. BLS/ACLS certification from the
American Heart Association or equivalent.
