Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

Provide leadership to the lodging management team for financial planning for the lodging division and the Steamboat Grand Homeowners Association Maximize revenue on an on-going basis Oversee and direct the efforts of lodging managers and their teams. Ensure Steamboats culture of internal and external exceptional service are implemented in all aspects of lodging operations Identify, develop and retain talent within the division and organization to create opportunities for advancement Participate in weekly meetings as needed, including revenue/yield meetings, weekly hotel executive meeting and Senior Management meetings.
Effectively partner with the Steamboat Grand Homeowners Association and the Board of Directors. Attend HOA quarterly board meetings as required and oversee HOA budgeted expenses as needed. Negotiate HOA management contract with HOA every three years.
Be involved in community and state affairs as a representative of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation and the Steamboat Grand Hotel through cooperative relationships Oversee the SSRC hotel nightly rental program. Maintain a quality program with high guest services experiences with maximum return on investment for ownership of units and SSRC Overall responsibility also includes driving the goal of growing units under management around the immediate radius of the resort. This may include acquisitions of individual units, groups of units, or major portfolios of units under management by competitors.

Minimum skills, experience, education and ability for this job:

Bachelors degree in business, hospitality or related field or equivalent work experience.
Ten + years of related progressive experience in condominium resort/lodging with minimum of five years in administrative and/or operational role industry with general knowledge of aspects of resort property management Proven experience renovating and growing hotel revenue.
Previous experience in a four-star resort in a seasonal market as well as experience in homeowner association highly desirable.
Experience in all phases of hotel management, including sales and marketing in a first-class hotel organization, daily management of all areas of operations involving human resources, food and beverage, budget management, rooms, maintenance, housekeeping, and administration of services.
A CHA designation is encouraged as well as a CMCA designation for property management.
Ability to cope with numerous condominium owners, staff, and understanding corporate acumen is needed.
Ability to problem-solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates, and co-workers.
Proven organizational skills with excellent written and oral skills required.
Must be well versed in standard industry practices relating to current hospitality trends, HOA law, property management systems and tourism issues.
Able to provide leadership to a broad section of individuals and provide a positive and motivating environment, consistent with Steamboats Service Excellence standards Proficient in business management software applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.
Must meet SSRC minimum driving standards and have current drivers license; a successful motor vehicle record and criminal background check are required.

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base salary pay range: $96,000 - $191,000 per year
