Come work at the longest mountain coaster in North America-The Outlaw, and all the other activities Steamboat Ski & Resort has to offer including: the climbing wall, mini golf, bungee trampoline, bounce house, and more! All applicants must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift up to 70 lbs. in all weather.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
• Operate the Activities while open
• Inspect and set up all Activities equipment and structures prior to opening
• Ticket and line management, scan tickets and control line flow, while communicating with guests
• Properly harness and go over safety briefings with guests
• Talk to guests and help with any questions
• Close and store all equipment properly
• Maintain a clean area around the activities
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
• Follow Covid-19 mitigation plans and protocols
• Attend team meetings as required
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, and education for this job:
• Must have excellent guest service skills and experience in the guest service field is helpful
• Adhere to all safety policies
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures
• Previous experience with activities (i.e. mountain coaster, bungee trampoline, climbing wall, ropes course, etc.) a plus
• Must have basic computer skills for operation of handheld ticket scanning devices
• Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers, and management consistent with Steamboat Ski and Resort Company’s Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:
• Must be 18 years of age to operate the Mountain Coaster, 16 years of age for all other activities
• Lift 50 to 70 lbs. and perform moderate to strenuous physical activity with lots of lifting, twisting, and turning
• Must work outside in all weather conditions (heat, snow, cold, sun, and inclement weather conditions)
• Communicate clearly in English; communicate safety procedures clearly and effectively
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be comfortable at heights; walk track of Mountain Coaster. Physically capable of balancing on the trampoline while operating the bungee jump
• Must have good hand/eye coordination

Miscellaneous  Information:
• This is an hourly paid position subject to overtime pay
• Position is required to work weekends and holidays as needed (4 days a week)
• Employment for this job is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check
•Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay rate: $12.50 per hour
