Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:

  • Responsible for daily operations of all Ticket Offices -including the guest relations office, ticket windows, call center, SnowSports office, and kids vacation center front office.
  • Responsible for handling all guest service issues as related to refunds, department policies, season passes and reservations processes.
  • Responsible for coordinating, hiring, training, scheduling and supervision of all staff for Lift Ticket Office.
  • Develop and maintain both department and company policies and manuals.
  • Troubleshoot any hardware and software problems for the RTP ticketing system.
  • Implement summer pass sales processes.
  • Set-up and maintain products and discounts for all tickets, passes and Internet sales.
  • Enhance and develop sales procedures to create more efficiencies for our guests and to create a positive effect on the bottom line contribution
  • Supervise and coordinate the daily Ticket office programs and procedures with Accounting, Central Reservations and SnowSports School ensuring that all department needs are met
  • Oversee all sales, accounting and reservation reports for office operations on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
  • Work with all departments for employee pass programs- issuing, redlining, and terming employee riding privileges.

Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:

  • College Degree preferred or equivalent in experience within ski industry or service based business
  • 2 years minimum in a customer service position required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook for preparation of reports, letters, spreadsheets
  • Excellent organizational, guest service and detail skills required
  • Diplomatic, professional self starter who can make sound decisions, frequently under pressure
  • Bookkeeping or accounting background preferred
  • Experience in creating, developing and implementing new projects (based on company policy and previous experience)
  • Desire to have a "Fun" workplace while meeting and exceeding company and department goals
  • Adhere to all safety policies
  • Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards
  • Problem solve in a highly effective manner and maintain positive relationships with guests and staff, including management, subordinates and co-workers
  • Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift 50 pounds and stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must communicate clearly in English in person, professionally in writing and on the phone
  • Must be able to wear a mask while at work

  • This is a salaried position and is not subject to overtime pay

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay range: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour
