Whether youre looking for seasonal work or the career of a lifetime, join us today to reach your peak.The Lift MaintenanceOperator is responsible for assisting mechanics and electricians in all aspects of lift related repairs and maintenance. Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of this position. Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to cleaning of lift equipment and shops, vehicle pre-operational check out and upkeep, assisting in repairs and preventative maintenance, overhaul of grips and carriers,operation of lifts for maintenance work, and working at heights. Job duties are performed in all types of indoor and outdoor mountain environments. Additional responsibilities include informing the Lift Maintenance Manager, Supervisor, and/or Lift Dispatch on all abnormal or unusual conditions, incidents, or lift system malfunctions. This position requires adheringto Vail Resorts Health & Safety as well as Lift Maintenance department policies and procedures. Safety is paramount and ahigh level of awareness relating to safe vehicleand UTV operation is also required.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications :Must be 18 years of ageor older- requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent- requiredValid US driver's license- requiredAbility to pass a Motor Vehicle Records check- requiredAbility to read, write, speak, comprehend and understandEnglish fluently- requiredBasic knowledge of computer systems- preferredAbility to lift up to 75lbs.- requiredAbility to stand for up to 4 hours without sitting- requiredAbility to use hands andfingers to feel, reach- requiredAbility to climb, balance, stoop, crawl, and crouch- requiredAble to work holidays, weekends, evenings as necessary- requiredAbility to work and communicate effective in a team environment- requiredAbility to work at heights up to 100'- requiredAbility to work in a variety ofoutdoor mountain weather environments- requiredProficient with some hand and power tools- requiredMinimum of 6 months experience in a mechanical, electrical, or construction field- preferredMinimum of 1 season in lift operations- preferredWorking knowledge of Doppelmayr and CTEC lifts -preferredIn-person interview and resume- requiredThe budgeted range starts at $15.00.
