Steamboat is looking for an experienced receptionist to assist in overseeing operations at the Steamboat Grand Spa. If you like working alone, this calm and serene spa environment could be a wonderful opportunity.

Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.:
Open the Spa reception desk: verify cash drawer, and prepare for daily appointments; turn on the lights, table warmers, diffusers, music, etc.
Answer phone calls and schedule appointments based on guest request and availability
Take laundry to hotel laundry facility/ restock clean laundry in spa
Cleaning of spa and product display area
Will welcome guest when they arrive for scheduled appointments
Bill guests after completion of spa services
Recommend retail products that support services
Close spa for the day: cash deposit if necessary; turn off all spa lights, table warmers, diffusers, music etc.
Help guest with resort directions information and general questions
Print contract labor (massage therapist) daily schedules update throughout the day as needed
Print estheticians and nail tech schedules update throughout the day as needed
Compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements.
Other duties, as assigned

Minimum skills, experience, and education required for this job:
High School diploma or GED required
Wellness related experience and/or education, preferred
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office or equivalent (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Must have basic data entry and data base experience required
Must have previous reception employment experience
Must have previous experience with basic office skills including filing, answering phones, typing, etc.
Adhere to all safety policies
Interact and maintain positive relationships with guests, co-workers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations Service Excellence standards

Physical Requirements:
Must be minimum 18 years of age
Speak and hear clearly in English
Stand for long periods of time
Lift/move at least 5 lbs. daily (some laundry, product)

Miscellaneous information:
This is a hourly non-exempt position and is subject to overtime pay
Position requires working weekends and holidays as needed
Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporations total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Steamboat area base hourly pay rate: $12.50 per hour
