Whether you're looking for seasonal work or the career of a lifetime, join us today to reach your peak.Job Summary:The Lodge at Vail Executive Housekeeper position oversees two hotels, 70 onsite rental units and 10 offsite units. This includes administrative functions such as budget development and review, labor tracking, payroll, supply/inventory management, and ensuring accurate key control policies are in place. Manages staff, including scheduling, training and hiring, disciplining and resolving employee issues. Inspect public areas and rooms so the property is clean and in orderly condition. Typically responsible for a multiple property and/or a large operation. Typically requires 5 years housekeeping experience, including previous supervisory experience.Job Responsibilities:Provides supervision and direction for all Housekeeping activities of the hotel to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and guest satisfaction are maintained.Supervise house count and make staffing adjustments accordingly.Analyze data and compile reports on expenditures, wages, labor, supplies, etc. in relation to hotel financial forecasts and budget.Continuous visual and documented inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, etc.Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by supervising usage, providing complete training for employees and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with OSHA regulations.Handle finances of housekeeping and laundry operations including budget and inventory controls. Establish and maintain adequate supplies for efficient operation of the department.Provide staffing, training, counseling and performance reviews for the housekeeping department. Also administers payroll on bi-weekly basis.Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc. Make recommendations and assist in the coordination of rehab projects. Will work together with property manager and rooms director to ensure condo product stays up to same standard as hotel rooms and recommend improvements that they find during their inspections.Align with all Resort policies, procedures and standards of operation.Ensures the Housekeeping Department leads the charge in regard to recycling efforts and environmental initiatives.Other duties as assignedRequirements:Required:High school diplomaPrevious experience in managing a hotel/resort housekeeping departmentMinimum of 2 years of experience in Supervisory /Management /Assistant Housekeeping positionProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and OutlookAbility to read and comprehend sophisticated correspondence in EnglishAbility to effectively present detailed information both verbally and in written form to guests and employees throughout the organizationPreferred:College degreePrevious luxury hotel experienceBilingual English/SpanishThe budgeted range starts at $67,000 - $81,150 + annual bonus + equity.
