The Steamboat Grand is looking for candidates with previous spa or health club experience to manage our the Grand Spa and Fitness Center. Ideal candidates would have strong supervisory skills to manage staff, therapists, treatment staff, as well as be a role model for outstanding guest service. Detailed job description, including responsibilities, work performed, tools or equipment used, etc.: Plan, supervise and coordinate fitness, spa and pool services, programs and facilities, including exercise equipment, classes, pool area and locker rooms, and treatment rooms.. Plan, supervise and coordinate Spa services, programs and facilities, including exercise programs, gym equipment and spa treatments. Exercise full supervisory authority over spa & fitness center employees and spa independent contracts. Purchase spa and gym equipment. Supervise proper use of all equipment and supplies carry out the maintenance of center equipment and physical facilities, including general cleaning, equipment upkeep, Order and maintain an appropriate inventory of retail products and supplies for the spa and center. Lead and/or supervise various programs offered to center members and/or customers. Instruct and advise customers as needed. Plan and carry out various marketing and promotional efforts aimed at increasing use of the fitness center and spa Confer regularly with VP/GM of Hotel and other company personnel to plan, coordinate and evaluate spa services and activities, exchange information, resolve problems, etc. Prepare various administrative/operational reports and records. Coordinate Independent contractors for spa treatments. Create and update spa services by keeping abreast of new field developments. Perform assigned duties in accordance to CO regulations related to cosmetology, massage therapy, and personal Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times. Follow the Resort's etiquette guidelines Ensure understanding and compliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirements Other duties, as assigned Minimum skills, experience, education and ability required for this job: Previous Spa and or heathclub management experience preferred Basic technical knowledge and skills related to Spa services,exercise programs, weight training methods, aerobic exercise methods, gym equipment, etc. Strong supervisory skills to manage staff, therapists, treatment staff, scheduling, employee relations etc. Deal effectively with clients on both an individual and group basis. Marketing skills to offer promotions that will capture needed capacity to optimize use of treatment rooms. Retail sales skills for selling of high end beauty products. Financial management skills to run Spa and Fitness Center at budgeted profitability levels. Ability to adhere to all safety policies Be a consistent role model for company's Service Excellence standards Physical Requirements: Must be a minimum of 18 years of age Ability to communicate clearly in English Ability to understand and work fitness equipment Standing or sitting for extended periods of time. Physical exertion due to inventory needs, weight lifting and aerobic activity Walking from one facility to the other regularly Must have valid driver's license without limitations or restrictions and meet company's insurability standards (will be required to complete Motor Vehicle Record) Miscellaneous information: This is an exempt, salaried position and not subject to to overtime pay Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check Resume and cover letter required Pursuant to county and/or state orders and company policies, every employee is required to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms, practice social distancing, wash hands frequently, wear a mask per current guidelines, self-report and call in immediately and stay home if sick and assist with sanitizing and disinfecting work areas. Employees must follow all resort mitigation plans and protocols, which can be found posted on resort buildings and on Beekeeper The base salary pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation salary pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits. Steamboat area base salary pay range:$39,500 - $69,000 per year Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation is an equal opportunity employer
