Job Description:

Position Purpose: The Medical Practice Assistant Manager is responsible for helping the Practice Manager manage the daily operations of the medical office, which includes managing the staff, assisting with scheduling staff, Administrative monthly duties, to include but not limited to; Monthly MOR review; Monthly provider productivity reporting; Monitoring monthly duty checklist; Monthly chart audits, and other delegated duties as determined by the Practice Manager. The Assistant Manager position is a crucial component to the management of staff and providers in multiple clinic settings and is required to work closely with the Practice Manager and the Clinic Administration Team.Essential Functions and Basic DutiesPosition Specific Performance Expectations:Maintain a smooth, efficient flow of administrative operations, ensuring that patients are served as efficiently and effectively asAssists with maintaining and reviewing as well as creating policies and procedures.Assists with standardization of processes and ensures they are fully adopted throughoutAssists with scheduling of staff.Assists the Practice Office Manager with tracking productivity of staff and providers.Provides performance feedback to Clinic Practice Manager in preparation for staff annual performance evaluationsProvides feedback to Clinic Practice Manager on unresolved performance issues that require formal coaching, written warning, or PIP interventionIn the absence of the Practice Manager, the Medical Practice Assistant manager will supervise the day-to-day function of the staff that includes: medical assistants, nurses, referral coordinators, and others as assigned.Helps ensure clinic coverage for call outs and vacations.Excels at customer service to both internal and externalEmbraces and models the mission, vision and values ofPerforms other duties as assigned.Organization Wide Performance Expectations:Demonstrates commitment to performing according to the CHOICE values of MRH and representing the organization in a positive and professional manner.Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.Upholds regulatory requirements to ensure continual compliance with departmental, hospital, state and federal regulations and policies.Follows all policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients, public and staff.Completes annual education, training, in-service, and licensure/certification requirements; attends departmental and organizational staff meetings or reads meeting minutes.Reports to work on time and as scheduled; completes work within designated timeframes.Establishes and maintains effective verbal and written communication and good working relationships with all patients, clinical staff, providers and vendors.Utilizes initiative; strives to maintain steady level of productivity; self-motivated; manages activity and time.Actively participates in departmental and facility performance improvement and continuous quality initiatives.QualificationsMinimum Requirements: Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)Must be able to legally work in the United StatesMust be able to pass a background checkMust be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)Must complete employee health meetingEducation/Licensure/Certification:Certification of Medical Assistant within 1 year of hire preferred.ORUnencumbered RN License - Colorado or Compact State preferred.Experience: Previous medical office experience preferredPosition Classification: ExemptCompensation Range: $62,900 to $92,500Benefits: Medical, Dental, Life, Retirement, Paid Time Off
