The Tavern on The Square. Ever thought to take a Bouchon level and
style of gastropub restaurant and build it at 8,000 ft in the Rocky
Mountains, hire an amazing crew, hand them snow boards and French
knives and tell them it's time to SHRED? Well we did. And we are
still here to talk about it. The Arrabelle at Vail Square is
currently seeking a very ambitious, energetic, seasonal culinary
staff with a keen eye for excellence to join our team. The Tavern
on The Square is our signature and wildly successful gastropub. We
rank in the top 20 restaurants in Vail. Our lively restaurant
features contemporary cutting edge cuisine, open for breakfast,
lunch, apres ski, dinner, desserts and everything in between.
Central Kitchen. Featuring a full pastry and bakery department and
incredibly talented team, production and banquet kitchen. The
Arrabelle Culinary Department is also responsible for in room
dining, employee dining and catering to our robust banquet
department which plays host to numerous weddings, corporate events
and other special occasions. Essential Job Responsibilities include
but are not limited to: This is an entry-level position requiring a
strong work ethic. This individual typically has 6 months to 2
years of culinary experience, and must be willing to work in a
fast-paced kitchen. Ability to develop basic culinary knowledge and
competent knife skills. Ability to handle own station, work off
prep list and complete station setup in time allotted, fabricate
items to standard during service, and completes prep list for next
day. This position involves prepping food, setting up, taking down
and cleaning serving stations. Understands the importance of
standards, speed, and quality. Practices good personal hygiene,
safe food handling and culinary skills within the restaurant. Will
attend HACCP training and practice those techniques. This is
position requires the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to communicate effectively is a must.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- Previous cooking experience preferred.
- Must be able to lift and carry 50+ lbs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to stand for 8+ hours.
- Must be able to work weekends in addition to Thanksgiving Day,
Christmas Day, December 26 - January 2, Presidents' Day Weekend,
