This role oversees all engineering and maintenance functions, ensuring a safe, efficient, and aesthetically pleasing property while leading a skilled team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. Chief Engineer Requirements: Observe and adhere to all safety and security procedures, promoting a safe work environment. Provide proper safety and security training for staff. Chief Engineer Qualifications: Proven experience as a Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager in a luxury hotel and residences or similar background. Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and preventive maintenance programs. Ability to mentor and develop staff, fostering a culture of safety and excellence. Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, stooping, and kneeling. Comfortable working in indoor/outdoor environments with moderate to high noise levels and occasional work in high-level areas (roofs, decks, etc.). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
