Job Description:

UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare organization in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This critical role involves caring for patients with complex health conditions, often serving as a bridge between the intensive care unit and general medical-surgical units. The successful candidate will deliver patient-focused, culturally competent care based on thorough assessments, combining medical expertise with empathetic support. Monitor and record patients' health conditions and recovery, adjusting treatments as needed under the guidance of a physician. Administer medication and maintain detailed notes on patient treatments and responses. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in continuing education and professional growth opportunities to stay informed on the latest practices in nursing care. Strong skills in patient health assessment and monitoring Ability to manage complex patient situations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in using medical software and patient healthcare records Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
