UCHealth invites registered nurses to apply for an exciting opportunity to join our Short Stay Unit as an RN specialized in acute care during the night shifts. Our Short Stay Unit acts as a crucial pivot in the treatment and recovery of patients who need intensive but brief medical attention. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans. Monitor, record, and report symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. Operate medical equipment, administer medications, and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. Maintain accurate, detailed reports and patient records. Advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal care. Strong clinical skills in a hospital setting Proficient in using healthcare software and systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in high-pressure situations Empathy and patience with patients Adaptability to rotating shifts and various patient needs Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN license in the state of Colorado BLS/CPR certification ACLS preferred for higher acuity patients
