Doctor of Medicine | Surgery - Neurosurgery Location: Denver, CO Employer: Lancesoft Inc Pay: Competitive weekly pay (inquire for details) Start Date: ASAP About the Position Description A healthcare facility is seeking a Board Certified Neurosurgery Physician for locum tenens coverage beginning March 2026 with potential ongoing opportunities later in the year. The role involves primary neurosurgery call coverage at a Level I trauma center , providing care for patients with neurological emergencies, traumatic brain injuries, spine conditions, and complex neurosurgical cases. The physician will work closely with hospital teams in an inpatient trauma setting , delivering high-quality surgical and critical care support while responding to neurosurgical emergencies. Responsibilities Provide 24-hour neurosurgery call coverage for trauma and emergency cases Manage acute neurosurgical conditions , including traumatic brain injuries and spinal emergencies Perform neurosurgical procedures such as craniectomy, craniotomy, and spine surgeries Place external ventricular drains (EVD) and intracranial pressure monitoring devices Provide ICU management for severe TBI patients and neurological emergencies Evaluate and treat brain tumors and complex neurological conditions Collaborate with trauma teams and hospital staff for patient care coordination Document patient care using the facility’s electronic medical record system Qualifications Board Certified in Neurological Surgery Active state medical license or IMLC with LOQ at submission Active ACLS and BLS certifications Active DEA license (must be transferable if required) Recent experience working in a Level I trauma center Clean malpractice and professional background preferred Self-Query NPDB report required at time of submission ? Working Hours 24-hour call shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM) Weekend coverage required Initial coverage dates: March 16 – March 20, 2026 Potential ongoing coverage beginning May/June 2026 Skills Advanced neurosurgical procedural expertise Trauma and critical care management Strong decision-making in emergency situations Experience with inpatient trauma environments Proficiency with Epic EMR preferred Excellent collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Location Lakewood, Colorado Requirements ? Requirements Must be able to perform all required neurosurgical procedures listed in the job description Must complete EMR training modules and virtual training prior to start date Must disclose availability and number of shifts per month NPDB Self-Query must be dated within 30 days of presentation Must be available for the specified March coverage dates
