Job Description:
UCHealth is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Charge
Nurse to lead our Medical Unit during night shifts, at our
state-of-the-art healthcare facilities. This role is pivotal in
maintaining the highest standards of patient care and ensuring the
smooth operation of the department throughout the night. The ideal
candidate will be an experienced nurse who thrives in managing both
the care provided by nursing staff and the ongoing needs of
patients throughout their stay. Oversee patient care and ensure
adherence to set protocols. Supervise and mentor the night nursing
staff, promoting professional growth and teamwork. Manage patient
assessments, treatment plans, and documentation. Serve as the
primary communication link between physicians and the nursing
staff. Handle patient admissions and discharges efficiently. Ensure
compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Respond to any emergencies with necessary actions and critical
thinking. Strong leadership and organizational skills Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively
under pressure Proficiency in using healthcare software and systems
In-depth knowledge of patient care and safety standards Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado Basic
Life Support (BLS) certified Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification preferred
