This role involves working closely with elderly residents who need assistance in improving their speech, language, voice, and swallowing abilities. The successful candidate will work in various settings across our network, including independent living, assisted living, and memory care facilities. This position requires expertise in diagnostic assessments and personalized treatment planning to enhance communication abilities and quality of life for our community members. Conducting patient assessments to diagnose speech, language, or swallowing disorders Developing and implementing tailored treatment plans based on each patient's needs and goals Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records Providing guidance and education to patients' families about how to support their loved ones Regularly evaluating patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary Organizing and leading activities designed to promote speech and language skills among residents Strong understanding of speech therapy practices and techniques Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work compassionately with elderly patients Strong organizational and time-management skills Proficiency in using specialized equipment and technology relevant to speech therapy Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
