Behavioral Health Therapist - Adolescent Salary Range: $34.47 -
$44.42 per hour, based on relevant years of experience Location:
Larimer county, Colorado at our Longview campus Status: Full time,
40 hours per week Hours: Sunday – Wednesday 8:00AM – 6:30PM
Employees working at locations operating 24/7 earn a differential.
Shift differentials are also available for evenings, nights,
weekends and holidays. The salary range for this position is
SummitStone’s good faith belief and reasonable estimate of the
range of possible compensation for this position at the time of the

services to the community that it serves. Role Overview:
Responsible for providing youth assessment, crisis intervention,
individual, family, and group therapy as well as case management.
Develop and monitor service plans, treatment progress, document
interactions and maintain clinical records and other reporting data
for clients with mild to severe mental illness, disorders, and/or
disabilities and substance use disorders. Coordinate with internal
as well as external supportive services to deliver services to
clients. Collaborate with medical providers, nurses, behavioral
health technicians, case managers, peer specialists and
psychiatrists regarding treatment. The role will work with and
advocate for diverse and often marginalized populations daily to
provide interventions, support, and resources, and to ensure that
the appropriate services are offered in an inclusive and equitable
manner. Essential Duties: Provide/facilitate a wide variety of
individual, family and group therapeutic and rehabilitative
activities to achieve goals of service/recovery/treatment plans and
to prevent deterioration, and hospitalization. Conduct crisis
intervention via telephone and/or face-to-face. Intervene and
de-escalate crisis situations with clients. Assess the risk of harm
to self or others, create comprehensive safety plans, and arrange
needed resources. Observe clients in a variety of situations;
assess mental status of client and formulate treatment plans and
goals. Perform case management services as needed to assist clients
to meet their goals as stated in their service/treatment plans.
Refer clients to supportive services such as vocational, medical,
social security, housing authority, etc. Advocate for clients in
many different forums including the federal, state and local court
systems, with family, school system etc. Assist clients in
improving their well-being and quality of life by training in
behavioral skills; educating clients to make informed choices;
developing clients coping skills, helping clients to problem solve,
and negotiating tasks of daily living. Document treatment plans,
progress reports, group notes, individual notes, case management
notes, letters, faxes and phone calls. Follow the proper protocol
for documentation as set forth by Quality Assurance and to third
party payor’s requirements that have contracts with SummitStone.
Maintain close and cooperative relationships with community
agencies and other public agencies in carrying out
treatment/recovery/service plans. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s
degree in a Human Services or Behavioral Health field from an
accredited college or university required (e.g., Social Work,
Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology). A minimum of
three (3) years of direct clinical experience providing behavioral
health services to children and/or adolescents, preferably in
higher-acuity, intensive, or structured treatment settings (e.g.,
residential, inpatient, crisis, or day treatment). Demonstrated
experience developing, implementing, and coordinating treatment
plans for children and adolescents, including collaboration with
families, schools, child-serving systems, and external agencies.
Specialized training or certification in child, adolescent, and/or
family-based treatment modalities required, or the ability to
obtain required training within a defined timeframe after hire.
Examples may include trauma-informed care, family systems, DBT-A,
CBT-A, or similar evidence-based practices. Completion of the
organization’s required Crisis Professional Curriculum within six
(6) months of hire. Licenses and Certifications: Current Colorado
professional license required in an appropriate behavioral health
discipline (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LAC) required. Dual licensure
strongly preferred. Valid Colorado driver’s license, or ability to
obtain within thirty (30) days of hire, with a clean driving record
as defined by organizational policy. CPR and First Aid
certification required for certain locations or program assignments
(training may be provided upon hire if not current). Preferred
