Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: /n/n Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. /n/n Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM /n• Seasonal travel assignment /n• Patient ratio of 6:1 during night shift /n• Work on busy medical-surgical unit with 48 private rooms /n• Provide care for surgical flap patients and spinal cord injury patients with stage 4 wounds requiring surgical intervention /n• Partner with burn unit to care for low-acuity burn patients /n• Perform wound care, occasional bowel programs, and light burn care /n• Use telemetry monitoring equipment /n• Work with Meditech EMR system /n• Required certifications: BLS /n• Medical/surgical background required /n• Experience with spinal cord injury patients preferred /n• Must be comfortable working on a busy medical floor /n• May occasionally use semi-private rooms when hospital census is high /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility operates a specialized medical-surgical unit that focuses on complex wound care and spinal cord injury patients.
