Deliver skilled nursing care in a neonatal intensive care setting, applying independent nursing functions and delegated medical tasks in line with state Board of Nursing standards. This contract position offers the opportunity to engage in comprehensive patient care, from assessment to evaluation and health education, within a dynamic hospital environment. Responsibilities: Conduct thorough assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care tailored to the neonatal population Monitor and interpret health status continuously by collecting and assessing patient data Deliver health teaching and counseling to patients and their families Provide therapies and treatments directly or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or education of others Execute delegated medical functions as per nursing standards and facility protocols Refer patients for further evaluation or treatment as necessary Review and monitor ongoing therapy and treatment plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines Utilize resources efficiently to support patient care Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare organization and adhere to service behavior standards Perform other duties as assigned, including potential department floating within competence and qualifications Be available for on-call shifts as required Qualifications / Desired Experience: Valid RN licensure with neonatal intensive care nursing experience Ability to perform independent nursing and delegated medical functions confidently Strong assessment and critical thinking skills Effective communication and health teaching capabilities Familiarity with patient documentation and regulatory compliance Flexibility to float to other departments and respond to on-call requirements This contract opportunity is ideal for experienced neonatal nurses seeking to contribute specialized care in a supportive and mission-driven environment.
