Registered Nurse (RN) | Oncology Location: Denver, CO Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,377 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Travel RN - BMT Oncology Profession: RN Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 17:30 Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Certification Must-Have: - Oncology, Hematology, and/or Transplant Cellular Therapy experience - Competent in IV placement skill - Experience in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy administration - Experience in blood product, antibiotic, IVIG, and IVF administration - Experience with immunocompromised patients - Good team player Description: This position is for a Travel RN specializing in Bone Marrow Oncology. The shift is for 4 days per week from 07:00 to 17:30. The unit is an Adult Outpatient Infusion Center. The center has 5 beds and 17 chairs. There are 8 core staff members on the team. The day shift operates either 4 ten-hour shifts or 3 twelve-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required based on staffing needs. Patient ratios will vary according to patient acuity and volumes. Equipment used includes Baxter infusion pumps and EMR Meditech and OncoEMR. Typical procedures performed include infusions of IVIG, blood products, electrolytes, and antibiotics. Chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular administration are also performed. Granix and Mozobil injections are administered for transplant/cellular therapy collections. Oversight for cellular procedures will be provided after required training is completed. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, caring, proactive, and positive team player who can handle high patient volumes and high patient acuities effectively.
