be considered. A registered nurse with operating room experience is
needed for a contract position in Louisville, KY. This role focuses
on providing perioperative nursing care in a surgical department
renowned for specialties such as General Surgery, ENT,
Orthopedics/Spine, Urology, Gynecology, Vascular, and Pain
management. The position offers a day shift schedule with
occasional on-call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: Deliver
comprehensive perioperative nursing care for outpatient and
inpatient surgical patients. Utilize standard surgical equipment
and document care in the Cerner EMR system. Collaborate with a
multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure patient safety and
high-quality care. Adhere strictly to surgical dress code protocols
and unit policies. Provide on-call coverage as scheduled, including
some weekend and evening shift duties. Qualifications: Registered
Nurse licensure with a minimum of 3 years of operating room
experience. Preferred background in orthopedic and spine surgeries.
Ability to maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and work effectively within
a team-focused environment. Familiarity with surgical equipment and
electronic medical records, specifically Cerner. Commitment to
following all surgical department dress code and standards.
