Job Description ProKatchers is seeking a travel Cath Lab Technologist for a travel job in Vail, Colorado. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Cath Lab Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Shift:/n/nDays, 4 x 10; 7:00 AM - 05:30 PM; no call /n /nWork Experience:/n/n/n Provide highly technical professional care to patients undergoing various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization/Special Procedures Lab. Assist physicians in the performance of those procedures and in the operation of technical equipment utilized during all procedures. Prepares room and equipment, instructs patients, monitors patient’s condition, and provides routine and emergency patient care during procedures. Must be able to function with minimal supervision. Is aware of and contributes to the positive atmosphere of the department. The Tech is accountable for providing 24-hour coverage when on call to ensure timely and appropriate patient care interventions. Performs other duties as assigned. /n/n ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job’s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. /n/n 1. Works within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities. /n/n /n/t 1. Handles emergency situations during high-risk procedures with calm, professional demeanor. /n/t 2. Demonstrates good communication skills and ability to teach patients while providing a calming effect with patients and families. /n/t 3. Interacts with physicians and other team members with professionalism to enhance team effectiveness. /n/t 4. Participates in “on-call” responsibilities and responds when required within 30 minutes. /n/t 5. Demonstrates knowledge and competency in basic invasive cardiovascular techniques and technology. /n/t 6. Prepares and operates sophisticated procedural equipment including x-ray camera, procedure table controls, image processing equipment, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, ultrasound machine, and power injector—all with safety and precision. /n/t 7. Assists with Quality Assurance and Performance projects as directed. /n/t 8. Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. /n/t 9. Perform other duties as assigned.
