Job Title: Travel RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 17:00 - 05:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN Certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS, EFM-C or AWHONN Must-Have: Ability to care for both low-risk and high-risk obstetric patients Ability to circulate a c-section Intermediate or advanced fetal monitoring skills Strong patient experience skills Description: This is a travel RN position in Labor and Delivery. The unit has 16 beds and a staff of 40. Patient ratios are approximately 1:2 but can fluctuate with acuity. Staffing includes 6 RNs on day shift, including 1 charge and 1 scrub tech, and 5 RNs on night shift, including 1 charge and 1 scrub tech. The unit utilizes a GE fetal monitor system and EMR (CPN, Meditech). Typical procedures performed include cerclages, versions, c-sections, vaginal deliveries, D&Cs, care of fetal demise, and epidurals. Candidates should possess strong collaboration skills with physicians, midwives, and doulas. Experience with unblocked or unepiduralized patients is preferred. We are looking for individuals with strong teamwork, cheerful dispositions, and exceptional patient experience skills.
