TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PACU/Pre-Post Op RN in Denver, Colorado, 80218! Pay Information $1,736 per week About The Position Job Title: Travel RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PACU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (09:00-21:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - Experience in a Pre-op/PACU setting - Ability to float between units - Willingness to take call shifts Description: This is a travel position for a Registered Nurse specializing in Post Anesthesia Care. The unit consists of a pre-op area and a PACU. There are 10 pre-op beds and 10 PACU beds. There are 17 staff members covering both departments. Day shifts have staggered start times, with some staff beginning as early as 5:30 AM. The unit operates until 9:30 PM. Night shifts are call-only and require participation. The typical patient ratio is 2:1. Staff primarily use Phillips monitors and Meditech as the electronic medical record system. Candidates must have BLS and ACLS certifications to be considered for this role. Preferred candidates will have experience with Meditech. The unit handles a wide variety of surgical cases, including many complex surgeries. ICU cases are typically sent directly to ICU unless capacity is full. The ideal candidate is flexible, enjoys collaboration, and has a positive attitude. Staff members are expected to work collaboratively between the two units and take on call duties. A highly functioning team of experienced nurses supports this unit. There is a high level of support and a strong team dynamic.
