About the opportunity:
The Supervisor, OR Materials Management supports Vail Health's
perioperative services by analyzing data to rationalize appropriate
stock levels to sustain daily operations. Responsible for
supervising the daily performance of a team providing supply
support to perioperative staff. Demonstrates strong attention to
detail and outstanding analytical skills. Collaborates with key
operational stakeholders and Supply Chain on improvement efforts
and cost-reduction initiatives. Leads department-specific projects
to research, identify and increase efficiency and/or reduce cost to
the organization. Ensures inventory control policies and procedures
are properly implemented. Works closely with clinical staff to
support the delivery of excellent patient care.
What you will do:
Provides day-to-day accountability for supply inventories,
monitoring volumes, flow, and sourcing. Analyzes product usage and
oversees all additions, deletions, and changes to par levels and
supply locations.
Supervises a team, monitoring productivity and organizing workflow
and responsibilities to ensure that employees understand and
properly execute their duties. Sets work schedules, reviews and
maintains task sheets, resolves personnel issues, and provides
constructive feedback and coaching.
Uses reports, data analytics, and strong attention to detail to
anticipate supply needs and independently make decisions regarding
supply shortages. Keeps supply chain management informed and
communicates potential interruptions to perioperative team
leaders.
Coordinates receipt of deliveries and reconciles receipts against
purchase orders, and reviews and resolves issues with invoices.
Reviews reports to identify pricing or quantity discrepancies and
confirms that discrepancies are resolved.
Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies for proper storage and
delivery of supplies as well as recalled or suspended inventory
products.
Closely coordinates with perioperative and other clinical staff and
takes personal responsibility for customer satisfaction and service
excellence.
Works with Supply Chain leadership to develop and implement
system-wide standardized inventory control and cycle counting
strategy to provide appropriate financial controls and
management.
Organizes multiple projects and schedules to meet demand and
shifting priorities and performs challenging tasks efficiently and
effectively.
Understands, communicates, and implements continuous process
improvement strategies (e.g. Lean methodology) to all staff, and
promotes the ongoing strategic vision and goals of Vail Health and
the Materials Management Department.

Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.

What you will need:
Experience:
Two years in a leadership role preferred
Five years inventory experience preferred
Perioperative supply experience preferred
Materials Management Information System and point of use supply
software experience preferred

Computer / Typing:
Microsoft Office experience. Must possess, or be able to obtain
within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online
learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online
forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including
reading, writing, and speaking English.
Education:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Pay is based upon relevant education and experience.
Pay Range:
$32.10-$45.85 USD
