The responsibilities of the Rooms Manager include assisting in and
overseeing the Housekeeping/Laundry and Front Office teams within
our Rooms Division. Responsibilities include: staff training,
inter-department communications, and staff scheduling. The Rooms
Manager will promote an atmosphere that ensures customer and
associate satisfaction. This position requires strong attention to
detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with
department heads, guests, and team members. The budgeted rate for
this position starts at $77,000 per year. Actual pay will
commesurate with experience.
Responsibilities include:
-Responsible for short and long term planning and the management of
the hotel's Housekeeping, Laundry and Front Office operations
-Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives
and manages within those approved plans
-Maintain guest room inventory
- Perform all tasks of a Front Office Staff as needed to facilitate
service
- Maintain information on prices, rates, specials, packages,
programs, etc, while ensuring all staff are trained in all
areas
- Ensure all operations and cash handling are done per policies and
procedures
- Solid understanding of housekeeping and laundry supplies and
pars
- See that inspection program is consistently maintained
- Inspect some rooms daily - Experience purchasing linens and
housekeeping supplies
- Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to
- Experience with turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests,
foreign dignitaries, etc. helpful
- Coach and counsel employees to reflect Hyatt Service Standards
and Procedures
- Analyze, investigate, and resolve guest complaints
- Ensures proper staffing levels for customer service goals
- Assure all safety and security policies and procedures are
followed
- Work closely with vendors to assure proper pricing, delivery, and
maintenance
