Job Description:
At Cargill, our Engineering & Maintenance team is crucial in
maintaining and enhancing our production capabilities. As a
Licensed Electrician, you will play a key role in ensuring the
operational efficiency, safety, and reliability of electrical
systems and equipment used in our food, agriculture, and industrial
processes. This position requires a blend of technical skills,
hands-on ability, and a commitment to safety and
sustainability—aligning with Cargill's mission to nourish and
sustain the global community. Install, maintain, and repair
electrical systems in Cargill's processing and manufacturing
facilities. Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate of
testing devices. Ensure compliance with national, state, and local
electrical codes. Work closely with operations personnel to
understand and meet facility needs. Respond promptly to emergencies
or unexpected issues during operations. Maintain clear and accurate
documentation of all work performed. Collaborate with management to
schedule preventive maintenance. Advocate for and adhere to all
safety policies and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
Strong understanding of electrical systems in a manufacturing
environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics,
and manuals. Proficiency with electrical test meters and tools.
Effective problem-solving skills. Strong verbal and written
communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time
efficiently. Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting
is highly desirable. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Electrician License (e.g.,
Journeyman or Master Electrician) as per state and local laws. OSHA
Safety Training certification is advantageous.
