Job Description Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer Job Description As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will analyze and modify engineering drawings to enhance manufacturability while preserving functional requirements and design intent. You will develop, document, and maintain detailed manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and assembly sequences. Your role involves implementing Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to reduce production costs and cycle time. You will lead manufacturing readiness reviews and process validation activities, and identify and resolve production bottlenecks through root cause analysis and corrective actions. Additionally, you will develop fixtures, tooling, and test equipment requirements to support manufacturing operations and facilitate the transition of new hardware designs from development to full-rate production. Responsibilities Analyze and modify engineering drawings to improve manufacturability while maintaining functional requirements and design intent. Develop, document, and maintain detailed manufacturing procedures, work instructions, and assembly sequences. Implement Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to reduce production costs and cycle time. Lead manufacturing readiness reviews and process validation activities. Identify and resolve production bottlenecks through root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions. Develop fixtures, tooling, and test equipment requirements to support manufacturing operations. Support transition of new hardware designs from development to full-rate production. Essential Skills Expertise in manufacturing engineering. Experience in aerospace engineering, specifically AS9100 standards. Knowledge of test operations. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in aerospace, particularly with satellites, space vehicles, and launch systems. Work Environment You will work in a lab, office, and manufacturing environment, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and equipment. Dress code is professional, suitable for both office and lab settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Louisville, CO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
