for a Chief Engineer at Valdoro Lodge in Breckendridge, Colorado.
The Chief Engineer advises and controls the Engineering operations
within the resort, which includes the daily supervision of
mechanical, structural, electrical, and other-related maintenance
systems. In this position you will work with the Resort Leadership
Team to develop maintenance programs; engage team members; maintain
accurate budget; and find opportunities that better equip the
organization to achieve its established annual business goals.
Compensation: $82,000- $84,000 10% annual bonus potential. Why do

will I do as a Chief Engineer? - Leads a team of highly motivated
Technicians. - Completes property repairs and manages capital
projects with company guidelines. - Guides and grows team members
for future career opportunities. - Develops and completes the
pivotal initiatives for the Engineering department, and makes
adjustments to the operations in order to meet the strategic goals
and interests of Resort Operations - Ensure that the property’s
Emergency Preparedness and Safety Awareness Plan(s) are updated and
current at all times. - Maintains an accurate inventory of
operating supplies, and ensures that proper purchasing procedures
are followed to maintain an adequate supply. Ensures all assets of
the department, equipment, supplies and storage are properly locked
and secured. - Manages relationships, contracts, compliance, and
interface issues with the operation’s business supporters and
suppliers to ensure business needs and financial responsibilities
are handled in a timely manner - Performs other related activities
as required. What are we looking for? - High school graduate or
equivalent experience. - Ability to work a flexible schedule to
include evenings, weekends, and holidays as operation needs
dictate. - 3-5Years of engineering experience in hotels or related
industry. - 3-5Years of managerial in the same or similar
environment - CPO Certification strongly preferred (if does not
currently have, must be willing to get within 30 days) - EPA
Certification preferred - OSHA 10 Certification preferred - Project
management experience. - Ability to write and speak English to
comprehend and communicate job functions to engineering staff. -
