Diesel Mechanic Mining Heavy Equipment Local or Fly-In, Fly-Out

  Thiess is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our mining team on our project site near Denver, Colorado. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for safe repair of mobile equipment including mining shovel, loader, haul truck, water truck, dozer and grader.
  
  What you ll be doing
  • Perform electrical, hydraulic and mechanical repairs, as well as preventative maintenance, in-shop and in the mine pit
  • Comply with all safety, health and environmental rules and procedures
  • While meeting safety standards, work with your team to maximize productivity and minimize downtime
  • All necessary tools will be provided
  • Work schedule: 7 days on, 7 days off, rotating 12-hour shifts both days and nights
  • Fly-in, fly-out opportunities for those who live out-of-state (travel expenses paid), drive-in, drive-out opportunities for those who live in-state (mileage reimbursed)
  • Working at high elevation with cold, snowy conditions during winter months
  • Hotel and shuttle accommodations provided Additional information

      • Ability to work extended shifts, rotating days and nights at high elevation
      • Interpersonal skills to bring to a positive, inclusive team-oriented work environment

      • Experience in diesel/heavy equipment mechanics It s beneficial to have
        • Technical training/certifications
        • Experience working on a mine
