Job Description Job Description Maintenance Mechanic III (Full Time) Evenings - 2 PM to 10:30 PM The role of Maintenance Mechanic III involves the independent operation, upkeep, and repair of electrical, plumbing, and movable equipment systems within extensive hospital facilities. This position demands advanced technical expertise, outstanding customer service abilities, and the capacity to work autonomously while maintaining a safe work environment. Candidates with experience in healthcare facility maintenance, relevant certifications, and familiarity with maintenance management software are highly preferred. Discover your purpose with us! This position is highly specialized, requiring in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, plumbing, and movable equipment. The individual in this role will be equipped to address repair challenges independently with minimal oversight. Supporting large hospital campuses, the Maintenance Mechanic III is essential for the operation, maintenance, and repair of various electrical and plumbing systems, as well as movable equipment. Exceptional communication and customer service skills are vital. The primary objective of this role is to ensure a safe working environment and contribute to an outstanding Environment of Care. Position Details: Minimum Required Qualifications Education: No specific educational requirements Licensure: Must possess a valid driver's license Experience: At least 4 years of commercial experience with equipment such as electrical systems, plumbing, pneumatic tube systems, beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers. Certification/Registration: Not specified Other Skills and Knowledge: Strong oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with customers and adherence to instructions. Ability to read and comprehend technical manuals. Numerical skills for calculations related to testing, installation, measurement, estimation, and equipment repair. Capability to prioritize tasks and visualize the final product. Form perception necessary for measuring and installing parts and equipment. Spatial awareness to interpret blueprints and specifications. Proficiency in various computer software, including Outlook, TMS, and/or Nuvolo. Efficient time and material management to complete tasks with high quality and minimal cost. Exceptional customer service skills to meet departmental objectives. General manual dexterity, basic math skills, and mechanical aptitude are required. Exposure to extreme temperatures, electric shock, and loud noises may occur. Preferred Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; 2 or more years of training in a Technical or Vocational School. Licensure: Electrical and/or Plumbing certification preferred. Experience: 5 or more years in a facility maintenance role within a healthcare setting.
